Irregular and uneven ridges and striations on Z-axis throughout print

Z Axis Flexible Couplers :The problem is the famous Z-ribbing.

Z coupler moved up and down without being fixed securely.

In other words, there are two Z-axis(or 3~4 axe), one is firmly fixed, the other is not fixed, the well-fixed part is surely raised to the Z-axis and the unfixed part is not going up well on the Z- When I go up to a certain degree, it suddenly shakes up by the pulling force, and it is repetitive like the previous photograph.

Solved : Once you have tightened the fixing screw of the Z coupler, you will not loosen it again.
(This is very common, you will want to print a spacer that sits behind the Z stepper motor. I have no idea why they ship it like this, but tightening the motor/bracket all the way to the extrusion causes the whole assembly to bow, which results in binding on the lead screw.)

One more thing I have done since then is the application of lubricant.

Tri-Flow superior lubricant : Tri-Flow® Superior Lubricant Drip Bottle(TF0021060)

These test geometries are designed to evaluate specific performance characteristics and motion systems in common low-cost FDM/FFF machines. Traditionally, layer height has been used as a proxy for resolution or quality, but it is a bit of an oversimplification of what is often termed "print quality".

Prints:

  1. Dimensional Accuracy
  2. Bridging Performance
  3. Overhang Performance
  4. Negative Space Tolerance
  5. Fine Positive Features Performance
  6. XY Resonance
  7. Z Resonance

Again, flex couplers are fragile. For example, if you accidently have a Z min limit switch failure, the couplers are just a spring spiral in aluminum. The motors have more than enough torque and will try to crank the nozzle into the bed- when that happens, the coupler is now the stretch point between the motor and screw. Keep going and they literally snap.
